Outfit: Peach Bamboo

Blazers are magic, it's a go to piece everyone should have. Aside from a regular black, funky mixes such as my peach blazer with black contrast panels can also glam up a regular jean and cami combo.

Try a red blazer, like Pin, to jazz up a black outfit. Red is also a great accent piece and it virtually transforms your whole look!

Spring was hot for nautical patterns and this navy striped blazer was a perfect hit from Joyce. A loud blazer with a print might require neutral colours to tone it down.

Look at Karyn's soft pastel blazer, it's a great cover up piece to any casual or formal dress. It's also easy to play up with a nice print top or dress.

Blazers are great to dress up or down an outfit. Whether it's structured or free-flow, it's sure to skim the body just right. Find a length that suits your body type or the style you want to achieve. Be adventurous and try all sorts of designs, you never know something loud could be the piece that makes everything pop!

Sheer Genius

Vera Wang's Fall 2012 collection was mesmerizing.

I especially liked this orange number.

I think working with sheer is always hard. I've often heard designers say in Project Runway "Why are the most beautiful materials the hardest to work with!", but if that's the truth it's quite impossible to see the difficulty here. Even if this type of material is quite free form and it's really hard to manipulate without destroying its softness, the whole thing just works flawlessly.

I also liked the way the pieces were draped and how she played with the soft and hard textures. Instead of overpowering the softness, it actually accentuated it. I particularly liked this nude dress with the vest.

And this beautiful long sleeved jacket.

Overall I think I'd like to see this translate well to something more ready to wear. I'm very excited to see how everyone will be inspired with this combo!
